All Good Things by Rosemary Reeve is a legal thriller cum crime fiction. Jack Hart is a young attorney who is working as an associate in a huge Seattle firm. His life is filled with balancing the backbreaking work that came with his job, alleviating the fears of an ever paranoid but savvy dog, tolerating the antics of his flaky mother, and most importantly, coming to terms with his harrowing past. This amount of stress should have been enough to make anyone’s life hectic and miserable, but Jack’s life takes a sudden turn when his colleague (and the breath of fresh hair in his life), Harmony Piper, goes missing.

From here, the story unfolds at a neck-breaking pace. With Harmony being the granddaughter of the Seattle firm’s founder, the motives and repercussions are colossal. The police investigations, the firm’s internal ongoings, Jack’s past, cunning friends/foes, and dark secrets that can destroy lives will keep the reader hooked on the story. Whether Harmony is really missing is a big question. Whether you can find her is another question! What is Jack’s part in this plot is another mystery? Come on, pick this book and get lost in the chase.

I have no negative comments against this book. That’s why I will whole-heartedly rate this book four out of four stars. The characters get closer to the reader’s heart with no effort. Rosemary Reeve maintains constant suspense throughout the book. The relationship between the main characters (Jack, Betsy, Mark, and Harmony) feels natural. The tender feelings and the comradery between the characters were my favorite elements. Also, Rosemary Reeve’s professional experience as an attorney shined when describing the inner workings of a legal firm.

The book is professionally edited; I did not find any errors at all. This is by far the most engrossing book I have read in a while. After reading this story, I have become a fan of Rosemary Reeve’s writing capabilities. As soon as I finish this review, I will read the second book in the Jack Hart Mysteries. If you are looking for a good mystery series, pick this. If you have an afternoon off, or if you want to read a good thriller within a few hours, pick this.

This is a plot-driven story with a great cast and a thrilling storyline. I will recommend this book to readers who are looking for legal thrillers. I will also recommend this book to readers who are looking for crime thrillers with no graphic violence. Much like me, once you start reading this book, you will not be able to put it down. So, just make sure that you have plenty of time in your hand before picking up this book.
