It's not easy to want to get back on track as a professional tennis player while suffering from a degenerative disease that threatens to cut short one's career. Sydney Livingstone, a professional tennis player who is just twenty-four years old, is coping with both of these issues while also attempting to make a livelihood by winning a tournament that would propel her to be one of the top tennis players in the world.

As wonderful, understanding, and loveable as many people think Sydney Livingstone is, someone from her past believes they have to murder her because of something that happened in the past, and they also believe it is the only way they can have their revenge. During the games and training, there were several occurrences, the majority of which made it evident that Sydney Livingstone was the main target. There were so many suspects and no one to trust, not even her family and friends.

Faults is a well-written fiction crime thriller novel with thirty-six chapters that are precisely constructed to connect everything in the story and make it feel complete. From the title, which works its own enchantment, to the very final chapter of the novel, Orion Gregory did an excellent job crafting this novel. Despite the fact that there are so many characters with various agendas and half of them could be considered suspects, the writing, and the way the author portrayed the details made it quite easy to read and link all of the characters while attempting to figure out who the criminal is.

What I liked best about this book was how the author made it tough to figure out who the criminal is, which means you never know what will happen next or when it will happen, and I believe that not knowing made the story even more exciting and enjoyable to read.

This book has nothing to dislike. I had so much fun reading it that even when I was not, I could not stop thinking about it. Not to mention that I have not spotted any errors, indicating that the novel was exceptionally edited. Therefore, I rate the book 4 out of 4 stars.

If you are a fan of crime novels, especially ones with very unexpected endings, this is the book for you.
