A honeymoon only happens once in the lifetime of a marriage. It is the time for newlyweds to enjoy each other’s company for long hours and many days. It is a time to see nature, enjoy its beauty, eat, love, and sleep. That circle is sacred and should never be broken. One never plans to spend their honeymoon chasing terrorists and trying to save the world. Unfortunately, Kerry and Tom had no say in whether or not they wanted to get involved in saving the world. Kerry’s accidental discovery of a terrorist base forced that upon them. They must race against time to stop a notorious dictator before he causes an EMP to go off over the country they love. Will they be able to achieve this feat in record time?

E M P Honeymoon is the title of this novel. It is one of the many novels written by Dorothy May Mercer. Before reading this novel, I had heard about an EMP. What I did not know was how much damage it could cause. I was amazed that such a small thing could end civilization as we know it. I guess that it is true that good novels are not just there to entertain us. This novel deserves a perfect rating from me, and you will know why soon. Just keep reading.

The thing I liked the most about the book was the foreshadowing. Some people say that foreshadowing is more like spoilers. Well, I want to say that it depends on how well the author executes it. In this case, Dorothy May Mercer executed it superbly. The first time I came across one, I knew it was a hint at what was to come. That made me eager to see how the rest of the story would play out. The suspense it caused was delicious (permit me to say that).

Now, it is time to talk about my rating for this book and why I decided on that rating. Considering how much I enjoyed the story and learned some things from it, I rate E M P Honeymoon 4 out of 4 stars. I did not dislike anything about the story or how it was told. I would love to add one more thing: Dorothy May Mercer made certain that E M P Honeymoon was flawlessly edited.

I recommend this book to lovers of books about the innovative ways terrorists employ to take over the world (I cannot put it any other way). If you are like me and do not know what an E M P does, you will learn a lot about that in the book. I promise you.

I enjoyed the romance, the action, and the mystery. I didn't really enjoy the character build up but it was an interesting book to read. It was also an educative book especially in the science area.
