Review of E M P Honeymoon
EMP Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer, Kelly and Tom is an incredible and exciting fictional novel. It relates the story of Kelly McBride and Tom Turbulo's honeymoon transformed into a world-saving quest.
Kelly McBride and Tom Turbulo, the latest newlyweds, decide to spend their honeymoon in Honduras, Central America. During the bus tour of the region, Kelly comes upon a souvenir shop named The Pigsty. She finds a high-tech hidden lab behind the shop whilst casually shopping for the right piggy toy for her nieces and nephews. Kelly quickly notifies her brother Mike McBride and husband Tom of her discoveries. This marks the beginning of their adventures on the island. Kelly and her husband Tom, together with Steve Spalding, Sharon, and Agatha, look into the world ending mystery surrounding The Pigsty. Will they be able to overcome this together or will they require the help of some other unknown hero?
The book is very engaging so much that a reader is compelled to read it all in one sitting. It starts with a proper teaser and continues with a lot of suspense in-between. It includes a photograph of the 2012 solar flare. The table of contents is well-organized, making it easy to read the book. The length and quantity of chapters are just right, since they aren't too short or many to bore or tire a reader. The author includes a character list that is organized by how they appeared in the novel. The extra note that explains more about the end of the book is very rewarding. For interested readers, the book contains a list of other works by both the author and the publisher. An extract from Cyber War, another book by the author is also provided along with sources and research material used. This series can be read independently or in conjunction with the novels of this novel's other characters.
I loved the author's way of conveying scenes occurring in various locations at the same time without rendering the reader confused. The characters were quite likeable and felt very real. The author's writing style was also good, and she understood how to keep the readers guessing.
I enjoyed reading this book and observed nothing in it I dislike.
I rate EMP Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer a 4 out of 4 stars, it is well edited and satisfying to read. I suggest this book be read by people who like reading suspenseful adventure stories.
