Murder in the Garbage[\i] is a thriller is sure to have anyone reading it following the story at the edge of their seats, craving for more.

It starts off fairly normally but once the plot unravels, there are curves and twists that make an ordinary-seeming job such as garbage collection, into a web of mysteries that slowly comes undone as the story progresses. The beginning of the story had just the right amount of introductions in order to paint a picture before jumping right into the thick of the mystery. Once the story started to develop, the book went right into the story. The chapters also ended with the appropriate amount of mystery without making the end of the chapter a huge cliffhanger.

Jerry A. Greenberg paints the story through the eyes of different people during the story while sticking to a linear timeline. The fact that the book did not jump through different times was something that I really enjoyed reading through. I loved that the timeline did not jump back and forth so that I could easily understand the story. The different points of view helps fill in some gaps in the storyline without even giving away the climax. I also love the quick pace of the book - once the characters were established, the plot sent me on a roller coaster ride from one chapter to the next, up to the very end. Even then, it was disappointing to have to put the book down because I wanted keep reading even if the book was over.

The story was quite well written and had a great flow. However, there was some story-telling that seemed very much unrealistic in keeping with the way the characters later spoke in the book - the dialogue felt too embellished. This sort of made the character a little less relatable. Other than that, I loved the rest of the flow of the story as well as the detailed descriptions which were just enough so that I can imagine the story as if it were a movie in my head.

In regards to the book as a whole, I really loved it and would definitely recommend it to those that love crime thrillers or mysteries. As a result, I believe this book deserves 4 out of 4 stars rating for those that are fans of crime thrillers - this book will definitely have you glued to it! This is one of those books you do not want to start at the end of your day because you may start missing out on sleep!
