Mike received a call, and the caller seemed to be in danger. What was strange was that the caller seemed to have found out about some top-secret shady activities that could pose a threat to the security of the United States. Furthermore, whoever was behind those activities was ready to do anything to make sure it wasn't known. Mike wondered who the caller could have been. Meanwhile, Kelly (his sister) had recently been married to Tom, and they were on a honeymoon on some Caribbean island in a hotel with a fancy beach. While looking for a perfect piggy gift for her nieces and nephews, she stumbled on a shop called La Pocilga (The Pigsty in English) that seemed to be a "piggy" shop.

However, it turned out the whole "piggy" shop facade was nothing but a smokescreen. Inside the store, there was a high-tech lab that nobody knew about. It was most likely that an EMP was being made in there. Immediately, Kelly understood the implications of such a threat. She needed to act fast and do something — but what? Everything — including the future of the United States — was at stake in her hands. Read E M P Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer for more.

Right from the first page, the tension sets in and progressively builds up as the story continues. Even from the prologue, we are left wondering who Mike's mysterious caller is, and we are also instantaneously pulled into the story. For lack of a better word, I must say that every single page in this book is an attention-grabber. Along the way, more and more mysteries emerge, and the climax gradually intensifies. That had the ripple effect of hooking me even more to the story and making the book enjoyable to read.

As already hinted in the previous paragraph, the suspense and tension are artistically sustained throughout the book. You are left yearning to know what exactly is going on. Also, the way the lab that was disguised as a "piggy" shop was described leaves you asking questions about what exactly was being made in its interiors. Furthermore, the fear and terror of Kelly being discovered also aided in making the story worthwhile — and to think that this is well-pronounced in the entire book, the book becomes worth every time and effort you invest in it.

The book has no errors, which is evidently due to its perfect editing. Also, the book didn't have anything I found off-putting, so it doesn't have any negative aspects. Because of these reasons — and because I don't see any reason to give a lower rating — I rate the book 4 out of 4 stars.

I recommend the book to lovers of novels about terrorism and counterterrorism that have intense action and mystery. It is a book that reveals the vulnerability of countries that rely on advanced technology.
