Review of E M P Honeymoon
Dorothy May Mercer's E M P Honeymoon is a fantastic work of fiction. It tells the story of a newly wedded couple, Kelly and Tom, and their discovery during their honeymoon in Honduras, Central America.
Kelly and Tom Turbolo traveled to a resort in Honduras, Central America for their honeymoon as they had just gotten married. On a fateful day, Kelly was touring around and decided to get some gifts for her family. She went to the pigsty shop to purchase some toys. To her greatest surprise, it turned out to be a laboratory for terrorists. She was attacked while snooping around, but she struggled to fight her way out, then she informed her elder brother, Senator McBride, of her encounter in the gift shop. Senator Mike informed his friend at the CIA and a team was set up to stop the group of terrorists who were planning on how to attack the American distribution company using electromagnetic pulses. The aim of the terrorists was to wipe out the whole of North America after crashing their internet and computer systems. Were the people of North America able to stop them? Get this book to find out.
This book was really interesting and engaging. I really liked and enjoyed the storyline. It was full of action, romance, suspense, and exciting moments. I learned a lot after reading this book. The author explained the concept of electromagnetic pulse attack and its effects. I also did research on electromagnetic pulses and believe I have a good understanding of the subject. The major and minor characters were well developed. My favorite characters are Kelly and Kim Jung Lo. I loved how Kelly was smart enough to quickly inform her brother of the dangers ahead. Kim Jung Lo was courageous, diligent, and loyal to his boss during the building of the atomic bomb project. I must also commend the author's style of writing. The author wrote this book in simple vocabulary words, which made it easy for readers to comprehend.
I didn't dislike anything in this book. The author painted a very vivid picture in the minds of the readers. The book explores themes like braveness, teamwork, and terror. This book shows that there is power in teamwork. I find it troubling that people want to attack and destroy a nation without considering the effects of terrorism. It was a great write-up, and I would really love to read similar books by the author.
I'm rating this book 4 out of 4 stars. I found only one error in the book. This shows it was professionally edited. I recommend this book to those who love action and romantic novels.
