Review of E M P Honeymoon
Terrorism is one major concern in today's world because of the amount of harm and pain it causes. However, this couple were not deterred by the danger as they stood their ground against these terrorists. E M P Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer is the story of this couple and their encounter with these terrorists.
During her honeymoon, Kelly runs into an unknown terrorist operation spot. The spot was disguised as a gift shop. She wanted to get gifts for her relatives when she found out about the hidden zone. The terrorists saw her and chased her. Kelly had to run for her life, and she tried to reach her brother. Her brother also tried to reach the CIA to report the matter. On further investigation, Cynthia found out that these terrorists were planning an attack on the US. An attack in which they would use the EMP to attack the country. Cynthia, on her part, was not going to let this happen, and she was ready to do whatever it took to take down these terrorists. Will these terrorists be caught?
This book was filled with lively moments right from the first page. The characters displayed loyalty and patriotism towards their country. They were not afraid of going the extra mile to save lives that these terrorists wanted to destroy. I loved that the author used a flowing style of writing; it made the plot very interesting. The transitions and connections between scenes were smooth, and the character development fantastic.
The only thing that was odd about this story was how a newly married couple went different ways during their honeymoon. Also, the husband did not even know where his newly wedded wife was. It was a bit hard for me to process because most newlyweds barely leave each other during their honeymoon. Anyway, this did not stop me from enjoying this book. I learnt some things about terrorism from reading this book, and I like how this book addresses this matter. I have read other books by this author and I must say that she creates masterpieces every time.
This book is definitely worth a full rating, and I will be rating this book 4 out of 4 stars. I gave this book a full rating because of the good plot and the author's style of writing. I found some errors in this book, but they did not affect my reading. This book was professionally edited. There were occurrences of profane words and some sexual scenes. Therefore, it is advised that children stay away from this book.
