Kelly discovers a pigsty shop while searching for souvenirs to bring back to her family while on her honeymoon on a Caribbean resort island. When she arrives, she sees no one and moves towards the employee-only area, which is where the narrative starts. Kelly and her husband Tom discover a plot by North Korean terrorists to launch missile attacks on the United States and use an EMP pulse to render the country's whole electronic infrastructure defenseless in the event of an invasion by an adversarial army. Senator Mike McBride, her brother, received information from Kelly right away, and he, together with his chief investigator and bodyguard Cynthia, got to work rapidly uncovering the terrorist attackers' plan. Agatha and Sharon, two bodyguards from the senator's office, were dispatched right away to guard the newlyweds while posing as tourists. They were unaware that the CIA had already dispatched Steve, an undercover agent, to monitor the activities of the alleged terrorists. As a result of the turn of circumstances, they all came together, formed a team, and collaborated to expose the terrorists' plans. In the terrorists camp and in accordance with Dear Leader's orders, Lee had already sent teams to Honduras and the Island to install these missiles. Dear Leader boasted to the US president about how well his plans were progressing at the time. As the narrative progresses, it becomes clear how technological growth aids in exposing terrorist plots.

This novel captured my interest since it was really engaging and packed with tension, action, and humor. You would not want to put it down. Till it is resolved, this story's twists and turns will keep you guessing. Dorothy May Mercer's conversational writing style never fails to amuse. She writes in a very descriptive style that makes her readers want to visualize everything. Here, teamwork is emphasized along with a glimpse at how terrorists operate around the world, going so far as to get plastic surgery only to pass for someone else, a process that may take months to complete. The book's portrayal of strong female characters is another thing I adored.

I did not have any issues with E M P Honeymoon at all. I have recently read a few of Dorothy May Mercer's books, and I adore her writing. Her narrative writing style, which includes a lot of dialogue, makes it simple for you to understand. She writes about issues we face in our daily lives, including, in this case, terrorism.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. It is a quick read filled with lots of suspense.

I recommend this book to readers who enjoy drama, suspense, and romance.
