I have always wanted to have my honeymoon on an island filled with people enjoying their time. I guess that had also been Kerry's and Tom's dreams because they were on their honeymoon on a similar island. They were living the dream as newlyweds and did not foresee any danger in the future. Things changed for the worse when they discovered that a group of terrorists was actively planning to invade the USA. They had gotten their hands on an EMP and would proceed to attack North America with it if nothing was done to them. Tom could not sit by and watch his home get plundered by thieves and terrorists who erroneously believed they were fighting for a worthy cause. He had to stop them before it was too late. Although Kerry was no cop, she could not let her husband do this alone. E M P Honeymoon tells the story of Tom's and Kerry's brave fight against their enemies. They could die in the process of protecting their continent. But what are two lives compared to millions? That was a sacrifice they were prepared to make if it ever came to that. Will they honor their promise to themselves and their people?

E M P Honeymoon helped boost my desire to be 100% loyal to my country. I may not have the resources the characters in the book had, but I have my voice, strength, and will. I have Dorothy May Mercer to thank for this new resolve in my heart. I did not dislike even one word or thing in the book.

One of the things I enjoyed reading about in E M P Honeymoon was the conversation between the head of the terrorist group and his chief minion. I can call him a minion because there is no better name for him. Their conversations gave me an idea of the kind of person the head of the organization was. It made me understand why he would dare to advance in North America. It also showed me a bit about the people who worked for this tyrant and leader.

E M P Honeymoon focuses mainly on terrorism. This topic is usually talked about with seriousness because it is a serious issue. I am not saying that Dorothy May Mercer addressed it from the point of unseriousness. It is just that she added a fair amount of humor to the story. This humor raised its funny head even when the characters were in tight spots and actively fighting the enemy the way they knew how to. For example, I laughed so much when the story got to the part where the characters came upon a supposed spy. That whole part was so funny. It is actually the part of the story that stood out the most for me and has now become the thing I loved the most about it.

The reasons I mentioned above are enough for anybody to give both Dorothy May Mercer and E M P Honeymoon all the stars in the Milky Way Galaxy. I could not spot a single negative thing about this book (there was no negative aspect). I loved it all. The fact that Dorothy May Mercer also edited it exceptionally well makes me want to add the sun as a bonus to the package. Since I cannot do any of that, I have settled for rating it 4 out of 4 stars.

Since the major theme of this book is terrorism, I can authoritatively recommend it to anyone who wants a top-tier book on terrorism. E M P Honeymoon scrutinizes the mind of a terrorist overlord and gives a detailed explanation of how such a person can destroy the world.
