Review of E M P Honeymoon
Kerry was not expecting to walk into the command base of a terrorist organization when she walked into a pet shop. She could not believe what she was seeing. There were all sorts of diagrams on the wall. Even though most of the writing was in a foreign language, she understood that an attack on North America was underway. Putting her thoughts together, she hoped to escape without being noticed. So she ran. She ran like a hound was out to get her. She could not look back, not even when her mind was pushing her to do that. Will she get caught? Will anyone be able to save North America from the danger it is in?
Dorothy May Mercer wrote this story and named it E M P Honeymoon. That is a catchy name, if I do say so myself. It is about a tug of war between the USA and the bad guys. While the bad guys were fighting for power, the USA was fighting for survival. It showed me that terrorists did not mind causing carnage and leaving death in their wake. They did not care who died or lived, as long as they got what they wanted. That makes them so evil and an entity the world should rid itself of soon.
I recommend E M P Honeymoon to people who love books about terrorists. I also recommend it to those that love Dorothy May Mercer's novels. If you are familiar with some other books Dorothy May Mercer has written, you will see that she mostly writes about terror attacks and the perpetrators of such. You will also see that her books do not just tell stories. They sell the truth that the USA did not become a world power by being a foot mat for terrorists. If you want to see the USA in action against terrorists, you should read this novel.
I will place my focus on two things in this paragraph. The first thing is the negative aspect of this book. Fortunately, E M P Honeymoon was good all-round and lacked even an iota of the negative things. The positive thing about this book is the second thing I will dwell on. I liked how realistic the story was and the drama that came with every action its characters took. Actions have consequences. They always do. I saw the consequences of the things both the good and bad guys did. The most-liked thing about the book (for me) is the addition of a well-detailed background story on the terrorist leader and the actions he took. This made me understand and see him for who he truly was.
Dorothy May Mercer edited E M P Honeymoon exceptionally. Everything I have said about this novel makes me want to hug the author. I cannot rate this novel lower than four out of four stars because that would go against what every fiber in my body thinks this book deserves.
