True love can transcend the boundaries of life and death. That is the crux of the book Hattie Vavaseur by M. Rebecca Wildsmith. The book is an amazing work that depicts the journey of the protagonist in her afterlife. The book tells the story of the issues faced by the protagonist and how she solves them with the help of friendship and love. The protagonist has a friend who can talk to dead souls. The duo then comes together to solve the mystery of a murder. The helpful ghosts around the corner also unravel something intriguing to them. The protagonist finds love unexpectedly and the story takes yet another turn.

The biggest strength of the book is the way that it has been written. The concept of the book is simply amazing. It is perfectly complemented by the way the characters have been depicted. The author has portrayed the emotions felt by the characters in a splendid manner. The dilemmas faced during the course of the novel will keep the readers hooked until the very end. There are many life lessons present in the book. The power of true love is an underlying theme of the book. The use of ghosts and the element of horror has also been executed to perfection.

I genuinely couldn’t find any negative aspect of the book. There was one grammatical error that didn’t hamper my reading experience in any way whatsoever. The book moves forward at a brisk pace. Many side characters provide crucial substance to the plot. The teamwork needed to defeat the antagonist makes up for a spectacular climax. I loved the way the book resolved all the plot lines before ending. The author made sure to provide ample time for each character involved in solving the murder mystery.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. There is not a single thing that I would like to change about this book. The author has done a phenomenal job with the plotline. The readers will surely love the witty remarks that are spread across the book. There is no dearth of twists and turns that will keep the readers engrossed in the book till the very end.

I recommend it to people who are interested in reading a different kind of love story. The horror and mystery elements of the book are perfectly balanced. The author has created an amazing world in the form of this book. Go grab your copy and enter this amazing world!
