E M P Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer is a continuation of Cynthia and Dan: Cyber War by Dorothy May Mercer. The book explored more technology and its impact on the security of a country and was set in Washington, DC, and Honduras. The style adopted is tragic-comedy, which explores the themes of love, technology, team spirit, conspiracy, and so on.

The 16-chapter book is about this couple, Tom and Kelly, who traveled to enjoy their honeymoon at Barefoot Sands Resort and Spa, Shoreline Road, Honduras. They were fortunate to discover criminals with sophisticated weapons to destroy a country. This discovery made Cynthia Patterson send two ladies, Sharon and Agatha, to work with them to expose these terrorists from another country, Korea, using the Pigsty gift shop as a cover for their secret. They met with intelligent Steve, who helped to achieve their aim. This event set up a five-person committee to fight them with both Space Force and Air Force while those that weren't in the country could monitor them, capture and trace them, and use the power of technology. They succeeded with the discovery of EMP, an Electro-Magnetic Pulse that can destroy or wipe out a country. It is a book we all have to read.

One of the captivating moments of the book was chapter nine when they had to go to the pigsty gift shop to get their information. This is like the peak of the storyline. Kelly had to go in like the owner and access the system to get some code to hack into.

I love the team spirit portrayed; they were able to divide themselves according to their capacity. Also, I love the event that took place in Chapter thirteen. The strategy used to execute their plans was brilliant and beyond my imagination.

It is important to note that the storyline was chronologically arranged, it was easy to understand, and the event that took place was simultaneous. From the honeymoon of Tom and Kelly to how Cynthia stepped in with Sharon and Agatha was chronologically arranged; it wasn't confusing. Therefore, I rate E M P Honeymoon 4 out of 4 stars because the storyline correlates, and the book is professionally edited.

Our world is digitalized; therefore, fighting enemies doesn't require a bomb or anything. There are more sophisticated weapons to use; an example is the EMP. Dorothy has projected the essence of technology's importance in the 21st century.

I discovered a single error in the book, and it did not affect my wonderful reading experience. I recommend this book to young adults and teenage readers; it will expose them to the power and impact of technology in the 21st century.
