Porter is a US marine with a track record of success in previous missions. Special agent Walter Stillson calls him for a briefing. Stillson confirmed to Porter that they were aware of Luther's arrest (Porter's brother) over drug trafficking. To save Luther, Porter had to accept a mission in North Korea.

While in North Korea, Porter discovers a drug and human trafficking business connected to the US. The syndicate's leader, Myung-Dae, was a ruthless murderer who used the cadavers of his victims to transport cocaine. Furthermore, the officer in charge of the barrack where Porter was staying was Myung-Dae's son-in-law and an active member of the drug business. Myung-Dae finds a spy device that someone has been using to hear his communications and swears to eliminate the spy before sabotaging his business. Operation Stormwatcher by Gerard Poulin navigates through the adventures of Porter with his newfound enemies in North Korea while on another mission.

The book's plot was well thought out and packed with sufficient details to make it interesting. The story explores all of life's angles, including friendship and enemity, thus making it relatable to readers and easy to go by its contents. I enjoyed the book's themes of romance, betrayal, crime, and many others because of their creativity and likable influence on the story. I liked how the author created good and bad characters, which makes readers choose sides and give the book their full attention.

Moreover, Poulin's book is educative. I learned a couple of morals like respect, especially for females' bodies and emotions, avoiding drug abuse and crime, etc. The author also shows the state of justice and respect for women in society. Many women, just as in real life, have no voice to air how they are sexually harassed and used for illegal business, such as the transportation of drugs. That is a wake-up call to readers. The book also helps to appreciate the work of men in uniform. These people sacrifice their lives to end evil in our region and deserve our appreciation and respect.

I did not encounter anything to make me dislike this book. Furthermore, it was exceptionally well edited and entertaining through its action scenes and educative through its themes. Therefore, I will rate Operation Stormwatcher 4 out of 4 stars. Apart from romance, the book has crime and military operations. Consequently, I recommend it to action lovers. Because of the greasy murder scenes and sexual profanity, I only suggest it to an adult audience.

Blackmailed into accepting a mission to North Korea. That's bad. Then there is living under the watchful eye of a now paranoid, murderous drug lord! Things don't look good for this Porter guy. I love it! Thank you for the recommendation.
