Review of E M P Honeymoon
Some people believe everything happens for a reason, but is that true? Is it all just a coincidence? The answer is always going to be a mystery. It was in the case of Kelly and Tom Turbulo, as their honeymoon in a Honduran resort led to a crazy twist. E M P Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer is a standalone book in the McBride series, with around 220 pages. The plot is fast-paced, and the author adds some humor to lighten the story.
Kelly is snooping around when she stumbles upon a gift shop that also happens to be a terrorist base and is seen on-site and pursued. Kelly finds a way to flee from the terrorist group but is in danger because her life is now in imminent danger. Kelly contacts her family to update them on her terrifying situation. They later realize that the terrorists are a team sent with the mission to launch an atomic bomb into America. The newlyweds cancel their honeymoon. They know they must help stop these terrorists because they are now at the center of an international conflict. Will they be able to stop these terrorists? Read along to understand and see the detailed plot of this fascinating book.
I liked how the book switched perspectives of the characters so that we could see the story from the lenses of different characters. They explain their view of their predicaments, like the terrorist woman, and how they alert the readers when making these changes. The book was realistic in defining the reactions to these situations, like the press interviews and the terrorist attack. I learned a lot from the book, like the importance and use of solar flares.
I liked everything about this book, and I see nothing to dislike. The book was direct and fast-paced. The fast-paced nature of the book reduced the suspense but didn't affect the thrill of the book or my reading experience.
I proudly rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. It was captivating and realistic, and I learned a lot from it. I learned about some flaws that need to be secured, like developing a backup power source of the current one to prevent terrorists from using it. I commend the editor for an exceptionally well-edited book. The book was simplistic and humorous, and it deserves this rating.
I recommend this book to readers interested in fictional books with thrilling action episodes and readers interested in reading fun books. I recommend it to readers interested in learning ways to stop terrorist attacks like leaders and the army.
