Terminal Freeze by Lincoln Child SPOILERS

This is one of my favorite books by Lincoln Child. It starts out as a typical monster/horror book with a scientific expedition that uncovers a mysterious creature frozen in ice. They begin to unthaw it and all hell breaks loose as the beast goes on a murderous rampage. It's a decent book at this point filled with suspense, good characters, and keeps your interest.
But at the end of the book after the monster is killed, one Character makes a comment that blew me away. It gave the book a whole new twist that was brilliant and shocking. I don't wish to post the big reveal here just yet, but I'm hoping some of you have read this book and know what I'm talking about. My mother read this book and missed it, and I had to explain it to her.
If you like monster books that are well written and good characters this is one for you.
