Review of The Cemetery Boys

Post by AutumnMay »

The Cemetery Boys (By Heather Brewer) was a book that made me want to read more and more. The whole time I was reading it, which was in one sitting, I did not want to put it down. As I was reading the book though, I kept making notes on how it was similar to the movie, The Lost Boys. Which, is not a bad thing considering that movie is awesome. This book, The Cemetery Boys is about a seventeen year-old boy, Stephen, and him and his father move to his fathers old town. A very small town. Stephan meets some not so good people and gets himself stuck in a situation about the towns mysterious tale of the Winged One's.
This had been a fantastic read. The writing was amazing. Friendship and relationships in this book was something that was talked about a lot. It was a main concern for Stephen. In all honesty, I had related to the character's fears about it, and worry's. Most people, I feel like, would relate to that topic and that in turn relates them to the character and the book itself. If you are looking for a good mystery (as well as some romance!) but a short read then definitely pick up this book. I can promise that you won't regret it. (Especially if you have seen The Lost Boys)
