I was really looking forward to reading this much hyped "must read book of 2014" and was so disappointed. Even though the author (apparently) spent ten years (!) "researching", the book just falls flat towards the end under its own weight. Too many loose ends, couldn't understand the significance of Carel Fabritius' famous painting in the plot! The only enjoyable part was of Theo and Boris' drug crazed stint in Vegas, and even that doesn't tie up. Lol.
