The book E M P Honeymoon: Kelly & Tom by Dorothy May Mercer is a story of a newly wedded couple, Carson City Police Department (CCPD) Sergeant Tom Turbulo and Kelly McBride. This book is a work of fiction and is entirely a product of the author's imagination, portraying love, bravery, and heroism. The story begins with the newlyweds enjoying their honeymoon on a beautiful Caribbean Island. While Tom is away, Kelly decides to go shopping for presents for her family. She enters a store called La Pocilga (The pigsty), discovers a high-tech lab, and is chased by some men. Luckily, she gets away. Unfortunately, Tom Turbulo and Kelly McBride's romantic honeymoon turns into a dangerous entanglement in a terrorist plot to blow up North America using an electromagnetic pulse. Throughout the book, we follow Kelly and Tom, accompanied by their friends and family, as they discover who is behind the high-tech lab and what they plan to do.

The book is in the romance genre. However, the book is also packed with action and a thriller. The author's writing style is impressive. He narrated the plot in an exciting and enthralling way. The story is logical and well-structured. After the couple, Kelly and Tom knew the plans of the CIA. It became pertinent for them to learn more about their goals by finding out what was in a shipping container and the computers in the lab and also protect themselves while at it. The book has the making of an exciting thriller. The imagery employed by the author is solid and illuminating. Readers of this book will undoubtedly have a sense of belonging while reading the book. I was consistently predicting what would happen next. The characters introduced in the book were given strategic roles that made them lovable, exciting, and heroic.

One positive aspect of the book, E M P Honeymoon: Kelly & Tom by Dorothy May Mercer, is the use of advanced technology like the smart cell phone used in the story, which is conventional. I also like the inclusion of humor in the plot. A good laugh calms the rush of the action.

There is nothing much to dislike or negative about this book. However, with the word 'honeymoon' in the book's title, I expected more romance. Also, I did not fancy the role Su-Jin played at the beach. We are told that she endures extensive training to blend in with the tourists at the resort, but when Steve approaches her, she acts like a novice and blows up her cover. It made that scene very uninteresting and disappointing.

The book is professionally edited, well-structured, logical, thrilling, and romantic. Given the circumstances, I rate this book, E M P Honeymoon: Kelly & Tom by Dorothy May Mercer, a perfect four out of four stars.

I strongly recommend the book E M P Honeymoon: Kelly & Tom by Dorothy May Mercer to readers seeking enthralling sci-fi books with a touch of romance.
