Review of Requiem For A Queen
Are you a fantasy, mystical, or magical book lover seeking the perfect book just for you? Then I humbly suggest you read this multi-genre book, Requiem For A Queen, by Kaylin McFarren. Kaylin McFarren is a fantastic author who lives in San Diego, California, USA. She is a mother and grandmother of three and a lover of dogs. She is also not only a multi-award-winning author who has won over 60 national literary awards but also the director of a fine art gallery in the Pearl District in Portland, Oregon, and a governor-appointed member of the Oregon Arts Commission.
This book, Requiem For A Queen, consists of 325 pages and has thirty-nine chapters. The storyline of this book majorly revolves around three characters: Samara Daemonium; Lucifer; and Papillion, the son of both Samara and Lucifer. After the war between Middle Earth and Hell, Samara had to sacrifice herself for the successful escape of her comrades, hence becoming a prisoner of Lucifer. As Lucifer's prisoner, Samara was tortured, raped, and brutalized by Lucifer. With nothing but her strong willpower, she was able to escape hell. After her escape, she noticed she was pregnant and tried hiding the baby because she knew Lucifer would come for his child. Unfortunately for her, she and her child were found by Lucinda, Lucifer's daughter. Unlike Lucifer, who loved Samara, Lucinda took Papillion from Samara and tried to kill her. Would Samara and Papillion reunite, or would Samara never see Papillion again? Give the book a try to find out.
I enjoyed every part of this book, from the writing style to the storyline. I admire the author's precise writing style, but one of the things I loved about this book was how it started. I love the poem that began the book. I also loved the quotes that were at the start of the book. My favourite quote was the one from an anonymous speaker. It goes: "You can't defeat your demons if you still enjoy their company." To some extent, the quote refers to Samara Daemonium and her relationship with Lucifer. I particularly loved how brave and selfless Samara was when protecting Papillon.
There was absolutely nothing to dislike in this book. It had no errors, nor did it have flaws. It is an exceptionally well-edited book. The other thing I loved so much about this book was the plot twist. I can, at least to an extent, guess the possible scenarios that can happen when reading a book, but this book held me in suspense, and I was unable to predict much of it.
I wholeheartedly rate this book five out of five stars. As indicated above, not only did the book hold my interest from beginning to end, but it has neither errors nor negative aspects. Thus, it deserves the rating it has received.
I highly recommend this book to lovers of fantasy novels and to people who enjoy non-fiction books mixed with other genres, such as magic and action.
