Deeply Odd by Dean Koontz

Post by Melissa Coffield »

I have been reading Dean Koontz novels since 1996. Odd Thomas is one of my favorite characters of all time. Deeply Odd definitely delivers. It amazes me how Mr. Koontz can continuously put out" edge of your seat" thrillers without them all starting to seem the same. I am currently reading Saint Odd and will be very sad to see the end of the Odd Thomas character.

I've heard of the Odd Thomas series, but I've never read it. Perhaps I will give it a go!

you really should. Although you can read them singly and out of order, I recommend starting with the first and not missing any in between. You learn something new in each installment.

I totally agree, everyone should read the entire series. I might be a little older than you and have been reading Koontz for 30 years. I even got his signature on my leather bound original of "Watchers". (My first Koontz book) I read the first few "Odd Thomas" books in paperback. Now that this old man has a kindle, I'm starting over and rereading everything from my favorite authors. And most importantly for the purposes of this long winded post; I look forward to reading "Deeply Odd".

I will catch up with the 21st century very soon. I'm just a little slow.

I've read this one and I liked how the book and the story began. I also felt the character of Edie Fischer is the brightest spot in the book, loved the way it was portrayed. But I have to admit that as the book progressed, somewhere around the halfway mark, I seemed to get lost in all the twists and turns. And though I did manage to read till the last page, this isn't a book I would particularly pick up and read again.

Edie is so "mystical." I love her. Deeply Odd is not my favorite of the series but I still loved it.

I am currently reading the next book in the series and cannot wait to find out more about Anamaria.

Yeah, but that is something I liked though because it is not often that the heroen gets killed off in the beginning. And Stormy is definitely the main heroen. Take a look at some of Dean Koontz recent releases. You will find one about Odd and Stormy

I also love dean koontz. I have a lot of his books. I read a lot of the odd thomas when the first 4 came out. Now that saintly odd is out, I reread the entire series and am currently on odd hours. The way he makes u want to know what odd will see or do next is amazing. A++++
