Review of The Date Farm
The Date Farm by Jack Winnick is the fourth installment in the Lara and Uri series. Nevertheless, this book can be read as a standalone. At the beginning of this book, a group of terrorists attacked a shopping mall. A few weeks later, another was launched in New York at the Federal Reserve and Chase Manhattan Bank. This attack led to the disruption of military communications and other government satellites. The United States government had no option but to summon the famous agents, Lara Edmond and Uri Levin. As a result, their vacation in Ohio was cut short. What is the goal of these terrorists? Will Lara and Uri be successful in this mission? Read this book to find out.
I cannot think of any other words to describe how I felt while reading this action-packed book. It felt exhilarating. The author did a great job of catching my attention from the first page of this book. I enjoyed reading each page with anticipation for the next. The story was fast-paced, with no dull moments. This made it fun to read. The characters were well developed. I learned some lessons from this book. One of the valuable lessons I learned is never to underestimate your enemies, irrespective of who they are. It is evident from this story that the terrorists were organized and must have taken time to plan their attacks on the United States. I also admire how the author gave background information about the cultures of some of the places visited. Some of the themes featured in this book include crime, politics, culture and terrorism.
There is nothing I dislike about this book. I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars. I also did not notice any grammatical errors while reading it. It was professionally edited.
I recommend this book to fans of crime and action-packed novels. There were some descriptively violent scenes in this book. Therefore, I do not recommend it to people who are offended by such scenes.
