After Sheikh Zainal's illegal escape from Uri Levin's and Lara Edmond's custody, he has been plotting a revenge scheme against America. The Date Farm by Jack Winnick starts with an incident where hundreds of young people are killed at the Beverly Hills Shopping Mall in a terrorist attack that was launched during a rave concert. Lara and Uri, who are spouses, are on vacation when they are called to investigate the violence that has been going on in America just right after another attack was launched in New York City.

From their investigation, they find out that their former hostage is the mastermind behind the attacks. When they attack large banks in America, it is realized from investigations carried out that money is not the attackers' problem. How would Lara and Uri eliminate these terrorists and their schemes and bring peace to America again?

The intensity of action in the plot of The Date Farm is superb, I must say. It is the way my heart kept racing along with the detectives' movements as I was reading. The severity of the cases pushes Uri Levin and Lara Edmond to travel to various locations in order to offer solutions to the daunting task. I almost went berserk when I thought everything was going well with the detectives, as they were getting their clues and answers correctly, only for me to see that in the next moment, they had suddenly gotten trapped on the farm in the Middle East. The adrenaline rush I felt was both annoying and exciting at the same time. But I must confess that this book will have a great impact on readers. The ability to stir varieties of emotions and keep one's senses alert.

The roles given to the characters were well played, and this is highly commendable. There existed great conversations and dialogues between them that were intellectually stimulating, coupled with the author's dexterous descriptive style. Reading this book will certainly give you maximum thrills, satisfaction, and enjoyment.

Jack Winnick, as usual, brings to the forefront the numerous issues that plague the world, a battle of wills between two powerful countries in which one has hardcore beliefs stemming from power hunger, and the other is motivated to right what is wrong. I love the fact that Jack Winnick was ultimately realistic in portraying this. Particularly not to take an unbiased stance of supporting any country in particular for the sole aim of a sense of belonging or familiarity, but to expose to the public's eyes the issues of the good for and bad for humanity. This will teach people that their actions should not be influenced by religious or societal expectations but rather from a place of humaneness.

You will also get to learn about military modes of operation, the creativity that comes with the job, and its policies. Uri's and Lara's disguise tactics were interesting to follow. The way the author put pieces of action together in the course of events spoke a lot about his vast knowledge of this area as well as his ingenuity.

There was nothing I disliked about reading this book. While reading, I came across two minor errors, which show that it was professionally edited. Therefore, I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. Due to the existence of mild sexual scenes and incidents involving violence, I recommend that this book be read by adults who love good, well-written, and educational thriller/spy books.
