A newlywed couple is the subject of Dorothy May Mercer's novella E M P Honeymoon: Kelly and Tom. Their honeymoon takes place in a Honduran resort, but it unexpectedly changes into an investigation scene and a survival challenge. In a gift store, Kelly McBride had been assaulted. She informs her husband, Sgt. Turbolo, and her brother, Senator McBride, of her conviction that these attacks are terrorists. To solve this mystery and allow Sgt. Turbolo and Kelly McBride enjoy their honeymoon, everyone is working together.

Meanwhile, the leader of this terrorist organization sends Colonel Rhee on a unique assignment. The couple's honeymoon and this assignment both take place at the same resort. Would General Rhee be successful? Can Kelly and Tom still enjoy their honeymoon in the middle of all these events?

It was intriguing to read about a terrorist organization's attempt to destroy the US and Canada via an electromagnetic pulse. This novel had a fantastic literary style that used a third-person narrative. The third-person narrative was an excellent option since there were several characters and situations. This made it easier to provide an unbiased, thorough, and complete description of every incident that occurred. Each individual in the narrative played a distinct part; they didn't just fluff. Because it contributed to the intriguing development of the story, I believe the character development in this book is excellent.

The plot of the story is immediately introduced. There are no dull parts in this work since it moves quickly. The fact that many of the characters were either employed by the CIA or terrorist organizations gave this book a lot of action and suspense. The scenario when Steve, a CIA agent, goes to look inside a shipping container was one that I found especially entertaining. Unbeknownst to him, Sgt. Tom and a few other detectives were en route to the same container to inspect it. What happens next is both amusing and intriguing.

At one point, it did seem like there were a lot of things going on, and the pace quickened. I don't think I had any additional reservations about this book. The book was free of errors. I would therefore rate it 5 out of 5.

Even though the book's title mentions a honeymoon, it is not at all romantic. This should be an enjoyable read for fiction fans. If you are a fan of terrorism thrillers, then this is for you. I have nothing but praise for this book.
