Review of Final Act
This book is a crime novel that centers on a timepiece that tells its owner when he will die. The founder of the VT2 watch, Vijay, is concerned about the rise in murder cases connected to the device. The groundbreaking VT2 smartwatch, developed by VitalTech, a business formerly owned by Vijay, offers certain health advantages because it tracks the wearer's well-being and determines and provides a precise time of death, which they designate as "Final Notice," based on the wearer's health circumstances. However, the Final Notice individuals are committing serious crimes for several reasons, so its use is becoming incorrect. As a result, this watch is causing mayhem among the security institutions in a nation where many political problems exist currently. Criminal investigative organisations like the FBI are working to forge a connection to stop such crimes. Vijay, who is already concerned that crimes are associated with his invention, now has personal issues because of the watch's data. This book contains a few crime stories, and we observe how the plot develops through unexpected turns. Will Vijay and the FBI be able to emerge with a plan to stop crimes connected to the VT2 watch? Will the people's security be further compromised by this watch? Read the book Final Act written by Van Fleisher to discover the solutions.
I can say that I liked the plot of the story. This novel has brought up various political concerns and even contains some suspense. The idea behind the narrative, the watch's technology, and the explanation of the insights were all fascinating. The little stories used in the characters' stories are well narrated, and the scenes are well described.
I can say that I did not enjoy the book that much. The narrative is far too chaotic, making it impossible for readers to connect with the characters and associate with them. This book lacks several fundamental thrill components necessary for a crime story. The style of the author's narrative structure left out some of the story's best qualities. Another issue with the storyline is the way the characters are linked together.
The story's structure, concept, and method of spotlighting political concerns were all excellent, but the narrative missed elements of suspense and viewer association. I will award this book three out of five stars. I would have given it more stars if the plot crafting had been more skillful.
I'll recommend this book to people who enjoy reading about investigations and pattern-spotting in crime stories. The detailed descriptions of the crime scenes make this book appropriate only for mature readers.
