Review of E M P Honeymoon
EMP Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer is a tale of courage, love, and bravery. While on a honeymoon at a Caribbean beach in Honduras, Kelly, the newly wedded bride of Sgt. Tom Turbulo, an officer of the Carson City Police Department (CCPD) and a sister of a US senator, discovered a lab managed by a terrorist organization. Kelly, on tour, missed her bus but saw an unusual-looking storefront disguised using piggy toys. Kelly Believed she could get some piggy souvenirs for her family but was shocked when she entered the store. The store concealed a high-tech lab with a large screen displaying a map of the United States and Canada with many blinking colored lights. Inside the store, Kelly was attacked by a bear-looking man, but she managed to escape and was pursued by a group of six dreaded men with no good intentions.
The book is loaded with suspenseful thrillers, and the plot thickens as the couple Tom and Kelly soon return to Honduras. With a team made up of the CIA and a group from the office of Senator Mike McBride to thwart the plan of the terrorist organization that wants to bomb South America using an electromagnetic pulse. Will they succeed? The answer to this and many more is in the book EMP Honeymoon.
The interview with Dr. Peter Kinney, where he explained the solar flare and the dangers that it could cause, and the difference between the super flare and flare with the year of its first occurrence in history, is what I like most in the book. The author did intensive research on the subject matter.
One of the book's positive aspects is the author's impressive and excellent writing skills. The author wrote the book with an easy-to-understand choice of words. The character and plot development are outstanding, and the author, with her creativity, switches the scene to give readers an idea of what is happening at different locations. The book is well-structured and organized into chapters and has a fantastic cover.
I least like a few things about the book EMP Honeymoon, and one of them was allowing Kelly to be a part of an investigative team that traveled back to Honduras. Was her safety considered knowing fully well that one of the bad guys had seen her face in the store at one point? There is no negative aspect of the book. The author exceptionally well edited the book.
I enjoyed every part of the book from the beginning to the end. The book was captivating, and I read it non-stop. I happily rate the book 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend the book EMP Honeymoon to readers that enjoy action-packed books.
