Kidnapping is the act of abducting someone and holding them captive without their consent. It’s a very common occurrence around the world. Most victims of kidnap are never found again. It happens to women, men and children of all races worldwide and can happen anywhere.

A young boy is Kidnapped while on his way from school. This happens after he misses the school bus and decides to walk home. A strange man asks him for directions, and in the process, he gets into the strange man’s car and is never seen again.

The young boy resurfaces seven years later after he is found near the forest. A lot of questions, however, surface. Where has he been for the last seven years? Was he sold into slavery and abused? How did he get away from his Kidnappers? Will he help the officers with their investigation? How about his single mother? Does he still remember her, and how will they live together in the same house after all those years apart? Please find out more by reading the book, The Other Boy by Amelia Legend

There are several things that I liked while reading this book. First of all, I liked how the author kept the events suspenseful. For instance, Dillon has been captured for seven years, and nobody knows where he has been. After he is rescued, he hardly talks, so it becomes hard to find out where he has been until inspector Rousseau makes several attempts.

Secondly, I liked how the storyline had an excellent flow. From the prologue, first chapter to the last chapter, every event just flowed chronologically. It was suspenseful at first, but one event led to another, and by the end of the book, I had all the answers I needed. This made the book so enjoyable and exciting.

There is nothing I dislike about the book since every event was perfectly written, and the book lived up to my expectations. I can actually reread the book because I loved it. Due to the above reasons, I give this book a perfect 5 out of 5 stars. The book was not well edited since I found some errors while reading the book. These errors, however, didn’t affect my enjoyment of the book.

I recommend this wonderful book to lovers of crime because Kidnap is a crime, and it’s the book's major theme. Persons who love detective novels will also enjoy this book because inspectors and detectives in the book are investigating the Kidnapping gangs and activities in the book.

Wow, this seems to be a very suspenseful book. I like that it flowed chronologically. This will help readers keep up with the timeline of events. When the events in a book are arranged randomly, it can be frustrating to keep up or try to figure out the timeline of events.

I love your brilliant review and feedback about the book. It is a certain sure read for me as I love crime thrillers. From your review, the story is well executed and filled with suspense. One can wonder the trauma of the abducted minor and the throes of the parents. Once available for review, it will be one of the books I will select for further review.

This book certainly carries a tense atmosphere. The fact that Dillion doesn't speak after he is found ascertains abuse and mistreatment. I hope the found the perpetuators of such abominable act. Great writing style! You nailed it on this review.

The name and the cover of this book is the first thing that interests me. There are so many questions to be asked after the boy shows up seven years later. It saddens me to think about what this little boy must have gone through at the hands of his abductors. Great review.

A crime thriller based on dramatic events centered around the kidnapping of a young boy seems engaging, though I need to be in the right mood to read this kind of story. Thank you for your great review!
