A light action and adventure story can be found in Dorothy May Mercer's E M P Honeymoon. The main characters are Kelly and Tom, who just got married and are currently in Honduras on their honeymoon. Tom Turbulo was a Carson City Police Department (CCPD) cop. Kelly witnessed something involving terrorists while they were on their honeymoon and was chased by them. Luckily, she managed to flee, but the issue remained. Before making her getaway, she called her brother and senator Mike McBride to inform them of the alarming information she had learned. Kelly and Tom were in a hazardous location while Mike was franticly wondering where she was and how she was. What Kelly saw caused her to flee for her life? Will her husband, Tom, be able to figure things out and protect them? Can Mike locate her sister?

The fast-paced nature of the plot makes the narration more relevant. In addition to Kelly, Tom, and Mike, there are many other characters including Peter, Sharon, and Steve. Characters from her earlier sequel like Cynthia was also included. Although the novel was brief, it was packed with a lot of characters and action. Every chapter is carefully written with sufficient sections and no unnecessary elaboration. I loved the author's narrative approach. He interspersed humorous passages between the tense scenes. Despite the tense passages, it made the reading entertaining. Additionally, he used poetry in his place descriptions to highlight their beauty. Despite the book's brief length and a large cast of characters, the narration was clear. Additionally, a scientific event was mentioned. It was fascinating to read and quite educational. The plot's use of electromagnetic pulses was brilliant, and as the novel goes on, it piques readers' interests. The book's editing was flawless. To my knowledge, I didn’t find any errors in grammar or spelling.

The few minor plot gaps are the only thing that let this book down. I've read the first sequel, and it shared the same issue as this one. Some scenes were left unfinished at the conclusion since the plot was hurried and fast-paced. Apart from that, I enjoyed reading this book.

I rated it 5 out of 5 stars. The book's editing was done incredibly well. There are no mistakes. It is more exciting to read because of the terrorism, mystery, humor, love, and action. So, I rate it full stars. There aren’t any major issues to reduce any stars.

I recommend this book to those who enjoy investigative and action novels. It was Fast-paced and exciting. This story would fascinate and satisfy fans of science fiction as well. I advise everyone who enjoys quick-paced light adventure novels to read this book.
