Review of blood games
Detectives Dennis and Chuck are the lead investigators in the case of a serial killer with a long list of victims. Although they know that every single one of the victims ate the exact same thing a few hours prior to their deaths, they were all drained of their blood, and they had a small tidbit they were hiding from the media, there was nothing else that indicates who this murderer is. He doesn’t leave any other clues behind, and the detectives are stumped. They haven’t even found one stray hair or fiber on any of the victims, and the victim count is climbing drastically. It is also starting to draw the attention of the media. They have pressure coming down on them from all sides to solve these murders and catch the serial killer.
The biggest question about these murders is what the blood is used for. They believe the blood is the reason for the murders, but all the different cults have been investigated. They even checked the whole history of Dracula and vampires, what reasons there could be for drinking human blood, you name it, but there is nothing that stands out or sheds any light on this investigation. Will they even be able to solve these murders, or will they turn them into a cold case? This book is a real page-turner, even when you dread turning the page due to your suspicions.
Everything about this book pulled me in. If I didn’t have to work and sleep, I would have read it non-stop. I had so many emotions running through me while reading this book. I felt intrigued, amazed, shocked, thrilled, repulsed, surprised, and so many other feelings. It is very difficult to write this review without dropping any spoilers. Although the murderer is exposed by the author quite early in the book, the how and why behind his reasoning is what creates the suspense and intrigue. It was thrilling to see how he found his victims, accomplished his murders, and kept the police running after their own tails.
I did find quite a number of errors, which gave the impression that this book hasn’t been proofread yet. I would rate blood games by Vaundalynne Gage 4 out of 5 stars. Once the errors are sorted out, I would happily give this book a perfect score. I loved absolutely everything about this book, and it kept me captivated from start to finish. The character development and descriptions were sublime. It is also a very thought-provoking book, as it makes you wonder how no one noticed what was going on and how used to routine people get. It is actually scary.
I would recommend this book to people who enjoy murder mysteries, suspenseful twisters, and crime dramas. You will be kept intrigued throughout this book and wonder when the second shoe will drop. I would love to read more of these types of stories, as the author did an excellent job with every aspect of this book. Even though the murderer was revealed early on, it made the book so much more compelling as you could get both the murderer’s and the police’s points of view. It was very exciting to learn how the protocols of the different divisions work together.

This was a really catching book! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this!Ajibola Gabriel wrote: ↑09 Mar 2023, 11:19 This sounds like a mystery book that I will enjoy reading. The fact that the killer leaves no close behind points to a difficult case and I’ll like to know how it was solved. Nice review.

This isn't a vampire book at all, it was one of the angles looked at to the unexplainable missing blood*Ben Madeley wrote: ↑10 Mar 2023, 09:44 This sounds interesting, I think if an author is writing vampire stories then they need to do something different because there are already so many out there. Nice review.
You will be thoroughly surprised by this book!
