This is probably my favorite book by Richard North Patterson. I became acquainted with Tony Lord through this book and started reading more of his stories after this one. They never disappoint, especially this one. Even though I've read it a few times, I still find myself being shocked and surprised, which, for me, is a sign of a very well written book.

I agree with you about being shocked even the second time around reading this book. I have found many things i didn't catch onto the first time. Making this just a great read the second time around!
