Review of E M P Honeymoon
The science fiction novel E M P Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer is an intriguing read. The book includes the biographies of some intriguing people, including Kelly and Tom Turbulo, a married couple. When things didn't go as planned, Tom Turbulo and Kelly headed on a peaceful honeymoon to a resort island. Unintentionally, Kelly came across a dangerous terrorist organization. She knew she had put herself in danger. She made a hasty call to her brother, Senator Mike McBride, for assistance. Mike contacted Assistant Director Joseph, a friend he believed might be able to assist. It was discovered during this process that this gang intended to assault North America and that this attack needed to be halted. Did they manage to halt this mission? Learn more by reading the book.
The plot and the order of events in this book are both intriguing and never dull. The author clearly defined the scientific terminologies and ideas used in the book so that the reader may understand them. It was difficult for me to foretell how things would pan out. The novel piques the reader's interest; it forced me to read it all the way through. Amazingly, one may read it as a stand-alone even if it is a book in the series. I must praise Mercer for using this series to highlight her abilities. I adored the characters' depth of development since it gave them a more realistic sense. The way the author ordered the book's headings made me appreciate the writing style. I also like how the book was broken into chapters yet still grouped into headings by the author. It removed any doubt as to the whereabouts and actions of characters at a specific moment. Tom and Kelly's decision to postpone their honeymoon to defend their beloved nation makes me proud. It is admirable that they displayed such a high level of devotion toward America. It let me realize that crucial tasks must be completed regardless of the situation.
The involvement of a foreign government in this scheme was something I really enjoyed. The outcomes were unsettling, but I think they were plausible. I also appreciated how realistic the characters were. A traveler was once seen "fanning her pits" to escape the heat of Honduras. Also, I liked how the chapter's subheadings let the reader know when the situation changed. This made it easier to understand what was going on.
I can't think of anything bad to say about this book. It slows down in the middle of the book, which some readers might find to be a drawback. After considering everything, I give this book a score of 5 out of 5 stars This is because of its expert editing, complex plot, and fantastic character descriptions. I will recommend this book to my friends because of how well this author writes. I'm eager to learn what May Mercer's future holds. I didn't find any errors.
To elicit such emotion from the reader, an author must be talented. I strongly urge anyone who likes fast-paced action and intrigue in tales with a dash of emotion and comedy to read this book. I also suggest it to readers who enjoy suspense and adventure.
