Review of E M P Honeymoon
[Following is a volunteer review of "E M P Honeymoon" by Dorothy May Mercer.]
Many people get married and take a couple of weeks off work to enjoy the company of their new spouse. Tom and Kerry had the same thing in mind when they left the USA shortly after their wedding. They deserved this. However, they would have none of the things that come with a honeymoon. Instead of cuddling in bed and exploring the island they were on, they would spend their time chasing down terrorists and trying to stop an electromagnetic pulse from destroying their country. It all started when Kerry accidentally stumbled upon the plans of a terrorist group to take down America, the world’s powerhouse. Since they were on foreign soil, the bulk of the work to stop the plans of this group from seeing the light of day fell on this couple's shoulders. Will they come out of this unscathed? Dorothy May Mercer is a popular name in my house. I have read almost every book she has written. One thing I have learned from reading all those books is that she is a great storyteller. I would love to say everything I like about this great woman, but unfortunately, I cannot do that. That is because this review focuses on a book she titled E M P Honeymoon. I always like it when authors give books creative titles that pique interest. The title of this book is quite clever, and it is the first thing I love about the book.
I did not dislike anything about this novel for several reasons. The first and most important reason is that its story is very entertaining. It is filled with so much drama. This made me feel several emotions at once. There was a little bit of everything that makes a book great in it. There was humor, action, pain, love, and the hunting tone of doom. E M P Honeymoon also educated me about possible ways terrorists can take out nations if they become bold enough. This is by far the feature I loved most in the novel. Dorothy May Mercer told me what an EMP could do and what it would take to operate one. This showed me that much research was conducted before the story was written.
E M P Honeymoon did not have any errors in it. That is my way of telling you that it was edited exceptionally well. It is an amazing book that gave me a soul-gripping story. I will forever love this book because of how perfect Dorothy May Mercer made everything. To my mind, E M P Honeymoon has no negative aspects. Because of that, I have decided to rate it 5 out of 5 stars.
E M P Honeymoon is a science fiction book that offers a great adventure (starring terrorists and heroes). I highly recommend reading this novel if you love books about the sad but daring exploits of terrorists. I doubt you will dislike anything about it.
