Review of E M P Honeymoon
E M P Honeymoon is an Intelligence tale that evolved on the island of the northeast coast of Honduras in Central America. The book relates the stories of Kelly and Tom Turbulo, a newlywed couple who opted to spend their honeymoon on this island without realizing the danger that awaited them. Kelly unintentionally ran into a hazardous terrorist group. Knowing full well that she had gotten herself into trouble and that she needed more than just any kind of help, she hastily put a call through to her brother, Senator Mike McBride. Mike, who knew he couldn’t give her all the help she needed, quickly reached out to his friend, CIA Assistant Director Joseph, whom he believed could assist him. The story developed to tell how Kelly, Tom, and an organized secret team of investigators intercepted and stopped a terrorist attack on North America. Learn more by reading the book.
This is an engrossing narrative about several ordinary people uncovering terrorist conspiracies aimed at destroying North America. E M P Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer is a spellbinding and enticing book in the McBride series that would leave anyone glued to their seat at the start of each page. It was disheartening to see that the newlywed couple had to put their lives on hold and make the enormous sacrifices they made for the peace and security of their nation. It is also worth noting that Kelly had great computer knowledge, while Tom Turbulo is a city police officer; these skills came in handy for the operation they had. As you read, you’ll get to meet another interesting character, Su-Jin, who has gone above and beyond to make the mission of Dear Leader successful. The book is educational, as the author took her time to explain solar flares, electromagnetic pulses, and the repercussions of a nuclear weapon if it is launched at its intended target.
I am in awe of Dorothy's extraordinary talent for spinning a tale so rapidly that you grip each page. I enjoyed reading this book because it was so motivating. The author deftly included new languages to illustrate the potential effects of nuclear bombs when they are fired at their target, which far exceeded my expectations for what I would learn from the book. I was also thrilled by the author’s presentation of the characters in the novel, which gave them a more naturalistic and approachable image. The characters and their functions in the narrative are simple to follow. Since most of the characters in this story played roles to complete their missions, I cannot say that there is a major character. I must admit that this is an engaging tale with plenty of action, suspense, and romance. The editing in this book is professional, with zero errors.
There is absolutely nothing to detest about this book. I found the book thrilling and inspiring. The author's originality distinguishes it from other novels I’ve read. I am glad I read it.
I award E M P Honeymoon a rating of 5 out of 5 stars because the flow of the story is exceptional. Contemporary issues like terrorism and the negative influence of technology are major concerns for the world at large. I would recommend this book to youngsters and adults. They must be individuals who fully appreciate intelligence and good action stories.
