Dr. Peter Kinney warned that North America made a big mistake when it failed to protect its power grid. He cautioned that all it would take for any enemy to bring about the collapse of that great country was a small EMP. He spoke as a scholar with no knowledge of what was to come. Alas, Dear Leader, a dictator who ruled a country of impoverished and sad people, was gearing up to be North America's worst nightmare. He had overseen the training of thousands of young men and women who would do his bidding at the snap of a finger. He had also gotten his scientists to assemble an EMP, which he would use to destroy all who stood in his path. Dr. Peter Kinney's fear was coming to pass. If Dear Leader's plans worked, the world would change for the worse.

Dorothy May Mercer has consistently written books that tackle the issue of tyranny and terrorism, with North America being the object of most of them. I have read her books and saw how well-detailed she is always. One of my favorite things about her books is how she describes the response of crucial security groups like the Navy, the FBI, and others. I wonder if she has any affiliation with them or has witnessed them carrying out their duties. I wonder about this because of how much information she gives and how real it sounds. She did the same thing in E M P Honeymoon. Do not be surprised when I say that's what I liked most.

The whole story was out of this world. Dorothy May Mercer took me on a ride into the minds of the good and the evil guys in the book. She showed me what it means to be patriotic and to love one's homeland. She fed me suspense at moments I did not expect. In summary, E M P Honeymoon had me biting my nails out of worry and whooping out of excitement when something extraordinary happened.

This is easily one of my favorite books by this author. She outdid herself in the storytelling and the editing (it was edited exceptionally). I did not dislike anything about E M P Honeymoon and cannot phantom writing anything negative about it. Since this is my reality, I have decided to rate it 5 out of 5 stars. A lower rating cannot be given because of how much I liked it.

EMPs are not something you will see every day. You will rarely hear about them in the news or read about them in stories (whether fiction or not). Therefore, if you are one of those who wonder about the kind of damage this device can do and would love to read a story where the antagonist uses it on a continent that is as big as North America, I recommend E M P Honeymoon to you.
