Kelly and Tom Turbulo, the newlywed couple, were enjoying their honeymoon in Honduras until Kelly's curiosity led to an unexpected discovery. During an island excursion, Kelly visited a shop selling piggy-themed items to buy a gift for her mother-in-law. However, Kelly was unaware that the shop was actually a cover-up for a cutting-edge laboratory manufacturing EMP weapons. When Kelly discovered the truth, her life was endangered as she had inadvertently stumbled upon a terrorist operation. To uncover and stop the threat, Kelly had to act quickly and decisively. Will she be successful? Find out in Dorothy May Mercer's thrilling book, E M P Honeymoon.

The book was a gripping page-turner. It was filled with non-stop action as Kelly and her team raced to stop the terrorists' progress. Although the plot has been used in several other books and movies, this one had a unique twist, making it stand out. Kelly's determination to protect her country from an EMP attack, even in the face of opposition from unscrupulous individuals, was commendable.

For example, Joseph Rench's reluctance to assist Mike McBride when he contacted him for help after Kelly got into trouble with the terrorists got me scratching my head. I found his behavior suspicious, given that Kelly had previously ended their romantic relationship and instead tied the knot with Tom. It's possible he was still harboring resentment, and I couldn't help but wonder if he had ulterior motives or mischief up his sleeve later in the story. This added an extra layer of suspense to the already thrilling plot, keeping me engaged and guessing.

The novel raises several critical themes that we often overlook, but in the book, they felt more tangible. For example, an EMP attack could potentially lead to widespread power outages, communication failures, and transportation disruptions, causing significant social and economic disruption. Moreover, corruption was prevalent, with Cambodian agents accepting bribes to overlook the activities of the piggy shop, jeopardizing national security.

Additionally, the romantic aspect of the book between Kelly and Tom added a human touch to the thrilling story. Their love was moving and sincere. The suspense was intense, keeping me guessing what would happen next, and the characterization was brilliant, making the story relatable.

Overall, I have no significant complaints about this book, and the editing was perfect, earning it 5 out of 5 stars. Readers who enjoy crime thrillers will undoubtedly find this book worthwhile. I highly recommend it to the mentioned audience, and it will certainly keep you on the edge of your seat.
