Review of E M P Honeymoon
E M P Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer is about patriotism. One day, Kelly is strolling around the city alone when she discovers a very weird store. Because of that, she gets easily curious about the establishment. She tours the whole store and she discovers a big USA map and lots of advanced computers that are not very common in a small establishment. Kelly immediately contacted her brother and reported what she saw. Senator McBride sent his competent people to analyze what his sister saw and protect her at all cost. The agents, Kelly and her husband, Tom, will undergo a mission to learn about the terrorist attack that could possibly put the United States of America in danger.
What I like about the book is that Senator McBride is very protective of his sister, but also trusts her with her decisions when it comes to dangerous things in life. I also loved how Tom was able to hype Kelly whenever she always feels like she can’t do things on her own, and doesn’t trust her abilities. Moreover, I really admire the friendship that Team USA builds, even though at first they didn’t trust each other. But, as time went by, their relationship was able to save the whole country. Lastly, I salute what Kim Jung Lo did. He might not be recognized, but what he did, saved the USA and removed them from any threats.
There is nothing that I don’t like about the book. I really enjoy reading it and I don’t have any problems with the author’s writing. The story is medium paced and it won’t take a lot of time to process what is happening in every chapter.
I will rate this book a 5 out of 5 stars, because it is exceptionally edited and I didn’t notice a mistake. I commend the author’s writing, it is very straight forward and easy to understand. I like how the writer was able to give a perfect amount of the character’s perspective, she was able to showcase the different personalities of the cast. And, I really enjoy reading the book.
I will recommend this book to the young adults. They would probably enjoy the action scenes and the friendship that Team USA built. Also, they would learn about patriotism and appreciate people who are always willing to sacrifice their lives to be able to save the country and their countrymen.
