Honduras is a beautiful place. That is why Tom Turbulo and Kelly McBride decided to do their honeymoon there. It is also a reasonably hidden place. That was why Dear Leader decided to plant a base there. He planned to launch an attack on North America from that base. Dear Leader was convinced no one could stop him. He could never have been more wrong. Tom Turbulo was a high-ranking police officer in the United States who knew how to get the job done. So, he was tasked with checking out the base and forming a plan to stop Dear Leader. Steve and Agatha would join this hero and his wife to form a formidable team whose duty was to reduce the chances of Dear Leader succeeding in his attack. It was four against a leader with thousands of men and women at his beck and call. What will the end look like for both teams?

I have to give it to Dorothy May Mercer. She has mastered the art of telling a good story filled with unexpected plot twists and humor. E M P Honeymoon was funny in many ways. The first time I literally laughed out loud was when Tom and Kelly found Steve. Their interaction was funny, and I wish the humor did not end so soon. Also, I did not dislike anything about E M P Honeymoon. I could not. I was too busy loving the plot to do that.

Now, let me talk about what I liked most about this story. The abundant suspense in the story is what I liked most. The story started with that, and Dorothy May Mercer kept that energy up throughout the book. I felt the first wave of suspense when Kelly mistakenly discovered Dear Leader's base in Honduras. I literally held my breath when she started running, and I sent a prayer that she would not be caught. Things like this kept the book very interesting.

I do not have any regrets about reading E M P Honeymoon. It is a fine book that engaged my mind all through. I was sucked into Tom's world and was opportune to see how he and his team went about their investigation. E M P Honeymoon had no errors and was edited exceptionally well. There were no negative aspects. That is why I rate it 5 out of 5 stars.

E M P Honeymoon is about how technology can be used to destroy a nation in a second. Technology enthusiasts who like books that highlight dangerous potential with a bit of romance thrown in the mix will enjoy this book. I recommend E M P Honeymoon to them because it is more than interesting.
