Review of E M P Honeymoon
[Following is a volunteer review of "E M P Honeymoon" by Dorothy May Mercer.]
Dorothy May Mercer's book E M P Honeymoon is a thrilling work of fiction that transports readers into a world of adventure and danger. The novel centers around the newly wedded couple Kelly McBride and Sergeant Tom Turbulo, a cop of the Carson City Police Department, who embark on their dream honeymoon on a Caribbean Resort Island in Honduras.
As Kelly explores the island, she stumbles upon an adorable little shop called Pigsty, where she finds beautiful trinkets that she considers perfect souvenirs for her family. However, her shopping experience turns dangerous when she realizes she has missed her bus and encounters a man up to no good. Fearing for her safety, Kelly flees and makes her way back to the villa, where she soon discovers a sinister plot to destroy North America using an electromagnetic pulse.
One of the positive aspects of this book is that the author, Dorothy May Mercer, has masterfully woven together an exciting and intricate plot. The scientific detail included in the novel adds depth and realism to the story. The electromagnetic pulse missile used in the terrorist plot against North America, which will neutralize their entire electronic infrastructure, is a fascinating concept that Mercer has masterfully brought to life in the book. The romance between Kelly and Tom is another highlight of the book. Their love story is fascinating, and readers will root for the couple throughout the novel. However, it is significant to note that this book is not just a romance novel; it has plenty of action and suspense that will keep readers engaged from the first page to the last.
While there is nothing negative to dislike about the book, some readers may question the decision to allow Kelly to participate in the terrorist investigation. Understandably, some readers may find it unrealistic or unsafe for a civilian to be involved in such a dangerous mission. However, the rest of the story is so fantastic that it is easy to overlook this minor detail. The book is excellently edited, well-written, and organized.
In conclusion, E M P Honeymoon is an intriguing book full of action, romance, and adventure. The story's pacing is just right, and the characters are well-developed and relatable. The author has put a lot of thought and effort into creating an exciting and engaging story. It is a fun and thrilling read I highly recommend to fiction fans.
