Review of E M P Honeymoon
Kelly and Sergeant Tom Turbulo were a married couple on their honeymoon on a Caribbean island. Kelly was on tour around the island, and at that time, Tom was exploring the coral reefs. Kelly discovered a secret location full of computers. She was attacked, but she managed to flee. She was so terrified that she called Senator Mike, her brother, on the phone. They soon realized that an attack on the United States was still planned.
She feared the terrorists would come after her because she knew too much. Mike contacted the CIA. Agent Steve was assigned to keep an eye on Turbulo. EMP Honeymoon: Kelly and Tom, by Dorothy May Mercer, will tell you the terrorists' plans, if they succeeded in their plot, and if the United States government could stop it.
This book was enjoyable because of how Dorothy combined its content with the fact that it contained romance; its content was spiced up with a lot of action, and Dorothy was also very humorous in her writing style, which had me laughing most of the time. The level of technology described and used in the book was very interesting to read, and I'm sure Dorothy did a lot of research to write this book. Dorothy was also able to define the roles of each character in the book, and I believe that the character development was excellent.
Furthermore, the way Dorothy described the American military confirmed that America possessed the best military forces in the world. My favorite scene was how Sharon and Steven got along despite their initial dislike for each other. It was remarkable how well Kelly and Tom were able to distinguish between their professional and personal life. General Lee was my favorite character in the book because he was a great leader with admirable qualities. Cynthia was a character I liked most because of her love for family and because she spoiled them with gifts. The use of images helps readers understand certain aspects of the book.
I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars as it was easy to comprehend, so I had no reason to dislike it. I highly recommend this book to adolescents ages 16 and up and adults who love reading thriller books. I encountered a few errors while reading this book, which shows that E M P Honeymoon: Kelly & Tom by Dorothy May Mercer was professionally edited.
