Review of E M P Honeymoon
Dorothy May Mercer has dropped a bomb on the fictional story world that touches on genres such as action, romance, international politics, and thriller.
E M P Honeymoon: Kelly and Tom is a science fiction story that tells the tale of Tom Turbulo and his newlywed wife as they go on a trip to Honduras for their honeymoon. On one of their days in Honduras, Kelly heads to a gift shop, hoping to find the perfect piggy gift to give Tom. She makes a shocking discovery, but within minutes, an unknown man attacks her. After minutes of struggle with her attacker, she flees the scene in haste. She makes a panicked call to Mike, her brother, who is a Senator in the United States. Although she connected with Mike, she couldn't say things out. Out of curiosity, Mike calls his friend, Assistant Director Joseph, who works in the CIA, to help out. Kelly's discovery could be dangerous to his nation and North America. Tom, Kelly, and Mike now join forces to stop an impending attack on their nation.
The author set her reader into direct suspense; the first thing the author wrote about was a panic call from Kelly to her brother Mike, and from that moment on, the book was engaging till the end. This book had comedy; I found myself laughing at the few jokes the characters made. I am also thankful for the scientific aspect of this book. I think Dorothy May Mercer did significant research on the electromagnetic pulse before she could integrate it into this book. I think the characters in this book were well-written. My favorite character was Kelly; her boldness and ability to sense danger are amazing, and although her curiosity wanted to put her in trouble, it also paved the way for new findings.
The romantic aspect of this book failed me. I couldn't even buy the romance in this book; it was uninteresting and unrealistic. Aside from that, this book has no dirt on it. I examined the editorial aspects of this book and found one grammatical error. This book was professionally edited.
5 out of 5 stars is my score on this book. I thought hard about the things I liked and didn't like. The things I disliked weren't major enough for me to deduct a star. My recommendations for this book will go to readers who love an intriguing book with lots of action and thrillers. If you pick this book because of the supposed romance everyone thinks it has, you will regret it.
