Endgame by William Reed is a war, history, and anti-terrorist book that talks about how a man believes he procured a solution to the terrorism stemming from the Middle East. This book shows how much wrong beliefs and teaching affect society, as people can be easily misguided and cajoled into believing their wrong actions and beliefs are right. It shows how acts of terrorism that are not quelled from the beginning grow into a big problem. In the book, the U.S. government encouraged the terrorists by underestimating them and letting their numbers grow. It shows the effects of terrorism on a society and the very long road to peace that countries experiencing this have to undergo.

This book talks about a man who believed wholeheartedly that he had found a solution to the problem of terrorism in the Middle East. His plan was that of espionage by infiltrating al-Qaeda from within and drawing them out by providing what they desired on a platter, which was the President of the United States of America. This plan came with a lot of ups and downs, which included having to potentially place his life and his family’s lives in danger. He had to deal with his mother’s illness all alone because of the repercussions of his espionage. How will everything work out for him?

I love the author's detailed description of the war in the Middle East, with appropriate dates, timing, and events taking place between all the Islamic terrorist groups. It shows the extensive amount of research the author undertook to perfect this novel. This book is so informative, relatable, and enlightening. The author made sure that each character was relatable to the readers; that way, it’s easier to learn a lot more. I like the fact that the author made sure that the book wasn’t complicated to read and that there were detailed interpretations of the various groups described in the book and the distinct contrasts and similarities between each group.

I disliked nothing about this book; it increased my knowledge about the war in the Middle East.

I gave this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars because it is a great source of knowledge on the effects of terrorism in a country. The book was exceptionally well-edited and error-free. I’d recommend this book to people interested in war, politics, history, anti-terrorism books, and middle eastern books.
