Review of E M P Honeymoon
When Senator Mike McBride picked up the phone, he did not expect to hear the panicked voice of his little sister on the line. Kelly sounded like she was hiding from someone and did not want to give away her location. The worry tripled when she hung up before she could give him the full details of what got her so scared. He would later learn that a group was planning an attack on the United States, and the attack would be launched soon. There was no time to waste. Not only was his baby sister in danger, but tens of millions of Americans may die if nothing is done fast. So he allowed his trusty personal assistant, chief of his investigating squad, and bodyguard, Cynthia Patterson-Eastman, to send a team to Honduras to put the situation under control. Kelly would have to work hand in hand with Tom, her husband, the team Cynthia would send, and a man they discovered in the dark to stop this group once and for all.
Dorothy May Mercer, the author of this book, is a brilliant author. I would like to thank her for writing this book because it gave me much insight into the daily dangers that orbit our world. The lessons this book contains are invaluable.
E M P Honeymoon taught me much about world politics. It showed me that countries must not focus on protecting their airspace, waterways, and land alone. One of the main targets in the story was the North American power grids. These grids have little to no protection when an attack is launched against them. That showed me how important it was for countries to think outside the box when protecting themselves. It also taught me about the dangers of solar flares. I have always heard about those, but until now, I never considered that it could wipe out an entire civilization if it is strong enough. Dorothy May Mercer used Dr. Peter Kinney to explain what they could do. In summary, E M P Honeymoon made me more aware of the things that could destroy us, and that is what I liked most about E M P Honeymoon.
If you have read E M P Honeymoon, you either loved it or did not like it so much because of how fast-paced it was. I did not mind the pace at which everything happened. Dorothy May Mercer did not try to make the story longer by adding unnecessary details. The book is capped at 252 pages, and that number of pages is more than enough for me. The best part was that the storyline was engrossing.
E M P Honeymoon was edited exceptionally well. Dorothy May Mercer made sure it was error-free. The story had both an exciting plot and an enlightening message. I did not dislike anything about this book and would like to give it the perfect rating of 5 out of 5 stars for having no negative aspects. I recommend this book to science fiction enthusiasts that like books with a great deal of mystery and adventure. It is easy to understand and will take no time to finish because there are only a few pages.
