Review of E M P Honeymoon
E M P Honeymoon: Kelly and Tom is a book that can easily pass for different genres, seeing how romance, suspense, adventure, and action play a part in it.
Kelly and Tom's lives took a dramatic turn as their honeymoon trip to the Caribbean turned into a fight for survival. Kelly went on a city tour and accidentally discovered a secret organization plotting to terrorize the United States of America in a conspicuous gift shop. Realizing she was found out, she fled to her husband and made a panic call to her brother, Mike McBride, a US senator. She returned to the gift shop with her husband to investigate further. They soon found themselves knee-deep in this conspiracy to blow up the United States using an electromagnetic pulse. They had to cooperate with the CIA and the United States Space Force to try to save their homeland.
The author, Dorothy May Mercer, had an interesting way of including a bit of every genre in E M P Honeymoon: Kelly and Tom. As much as it was mainly action-packed and full of suspense, the light romance helped to balance my mood while reading the book. This book kept me on my toes due to the various plot twists in the story, which always led to an unexpected turn of events. I also view how the author correctly explained scientific terms in the book to make them understandable as one of the positive aspects that make it worth revisiting.
The only negative aspect of this book is how fast-paced it is. This book's impressive plotline would have been perfect for expanding the storyline. Aside from that, this book is flawless, and I look forward to reading more books by Dorothy May Mercer.
Considering all aspects of this book, I will rate it 5 out of 5 stars because of its impressive plotline and well-developed characters. I also went through the editing process of this book and found no errors; it was exceptionally edited.
I recommend this book to people who love adventure with a thrill. I also recommend it to people who love science fiction. It was an exciting book, and I would look for other books by the author.
