Kelly was glad she married Tom. They loved each other a lot. To celebrate their new union, they chose to go to a resort in Honduras. In Honduras, Kelly uncovered a plot in which some people were planning an attack on North America. Kelly and Tom would have to think of a way to stop these attacks and their weapons. But how can they when the weapon of destruction is an EMP? They also did not have an army to fight for them. Senator McBride had done the best he could. He had sent some of his people to Honduras to help, but would that be enough? Tom and Kelly went there for their honeymoon but were dragged into something that seemed way bigger than them. Will they successfully stop these terrorists?

E M P Honeymoon is about the damage an EMP can do to a country that is not prepared to defend itself against it. Dorothy May Mercer showed me how a nation could be destroyed with just one shot. I could never have guessed that. That was not the only thing I learned from this book. I also learned a lot about the risk security personnel or undercover agents put themselves in front of in the bid to carry out their task. That made me appreciate their constant effort to keep every single one of us safe.

I liked the interactions between every character. However, I liked the one between those in the White House and the characters on the field most. I have never been to the White House before. I do not know the protocols those there follow in times of emergencies. I also do not know if the account Dorothy May Mercer gave in E M P Honeymoon is accurate, but it seemed plausible to me. I like to think that's how things are done. That is not all. Some of the exchanges between people in the White were so funny that I could not help but laugh. For example, the scene where some people were watching a video of something going on in space had me howling. You have to read it to understand why I found it so funny.

I rate E M P Honeymoon 5 out of 5 stars because I did not dislike anything about it. It was funny and interesting, and the plot was developed in a satisfactory way. There is no negative aspect to this book at all. Even the editing was done exceptionally well. If I cannot fault it in any way, why then will I give it a lower rating?

Do you like books about couples dealing with terrorists and trying to save their country? Do you enjoy reading novels that have terrorists that wield advanced weapons? Or do you just like books where the bad guy's target is the US? If you do, I highly recommend that you read E M P Honeymoon. You will love this book to the extent that you will start begging for more.
