Review of E M P Honeymoon
[Following is a volunteer review of "E M P Honeymoon" by Dorothy May Mercer.]
Kelly and Tom took it upon themselves to foil Dear Leader's plan. They understood that failure to stop his plans from seeing the light of day meant death for millions in North America. Tom was a police officer, so he put his knowledge of investigating to good use. Kelly was his wife, but her brother was a senator. Her brother, Senator McBride, sent some people to help these two out. Together, they must cook up a plan and put that plan into action to save all of North America.
E M P Honeymoon was more than a simple novel to me. It was a manual on how to react to a threat to the lives of our countrymen and women. It inspired me to want to be as patriotic as the story's protagonists. Furthermore, it showed me that bad people will always exist, but if good people do not sit by and watch bad people prevail, all will be right in the world. That is what I liked most about E M P Honeymoon. Now, I am not going to say if Tom and his team succeed or not. You will have to find out for yourself.
Dorothy May Mercer made this book incredible in every way. Apart from teaching me vital lessons, she also made this book super enjoyable with the twists and unexpected plots she threw into it. For example, I knew Dear Leader was the bad guy the moment she started talking about him in the book. What I did not expect was the personality that Dorothy May Mercer decided to give him. This shocked me to my bones and proved to me that an author need not stick to clichés for a story to be both good and impactful.
E M P Honeymoon is one of those books that I can say I did not dislike anything about. There was absolutely nothing negative about this book, and I am not surprised at all. Dorothy May Mercer's reputation for giving her readers books that are perfect in every way precedes her. If this is the case, it would mean that E M P Honeymoon was edited exceptionally well. The truth is that it was. There was not a single error in it, and that added to the book's value. Since I did not dislike anything about E M P Honeymoon, I give it a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. You will see why I did not rate it lower if you read everything I have written about this book.
E M P Honeymoon is a novel that will be loved by readers who enjoy reading books about patriots who go out of their way to defend their people. So, I recommend it to those very people. If you are one of those, you will see that the presentation of the concept of good versus evil was done perfectly.
