We all know that we are going to die one day but imagine if you know the exact day this would happen. Would you live your life according to a watch? What would you do if you knew when you were going to die?

Van Fleisher introduces us to a young mathematician and doctor in his novel Final Notice . This young man invents a sports watch that predicts and notifies one when they will die. It is interesting to discover how several people's stories that are described in this book are connected and how they plan their last few days or weeks before their demise. The characters in this book include people like the inventor of this watch, the FBI, an elderly couple, immigrants, and they are all linked in some way.

Guns, watches, revenge, politics - all these aspects make the story very thrilling. It makes one wonder how one would prepare for one's death. People have various ways - from some getting their affairs in order to others taking revenge on those who they think deserve it and even possible suicides.

The common denominator resulting in the killings in this novel is guns that are easily accessible no matter your age. Especially so for the elderly who are encouraged to obtain a gun for safety reasons. This easy access to guns for the elderly will get you debating whether that is a good idea or not. It is very realistic to what is happening in our lives today.

I couldn’t put this book down as it was so thrilling that I couldn’t wait to see what the outcome would be so I would recommend this book. I rate it 5 out of 5 .
