Review of E M P Honeymoon
[Following is a volunteer review of "E M P Honeymoon" by Dorothy May Mercer.]
E M P Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer is an intriguing book that centres on the lives of Tom and Kelly, a newlywed couple. The married couple, Kelly and Tom Turbulo, were having a wonderful time on their honeymoon in Honduras until Kelly's curiosity brought about an unexpected finding. Kelly was on a trip to an island when she came upon a fake gift shop where she was going to buy presents for her nephew. She discovered a door that opened to a dubious computer lab without realising the business was a cover for a covert mission. Thankfully, Kelly managed to escape her attacker's grasp the first time.
Kelly and Tom made the decision to look into the occurrence, which resulted in the unexpected discovery of a planned electromagnetic pulse explosion meant to destroy the US. Other American agents and authorities who can thwart these terrorist efforts then join the duo. Was it successful for the Korean commander to drop an atomic bomb on US soil? Has the American government been able to stop the terrorists' plot? To learn what transpired, read a copy of this book.
The plot and sequence of events in E M P Honeymoon are both entertaining and never get dull. The author clearly defined the scientific terminologies and ideas used in the book so that the reader may understand them. The book piqued the leader's curiosity, so it was difficult to foretell how things would turn out. It is also unexpected because one may read it as a stand-alone even if it is a book in a series. I might also mention how impressed I am with Tom and Kelly for delaying their honeymoon in order to defend their beloved nation. It is admirable that they displayed such a high level of devotion towards America. Some important issues that we often neglect were brought up in the book as well.
Overall, I can't say that I have any serious concerns with the book. But I felt the author should have told us more about the love relationship between the newlywed couple. I give the book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. It deserves a perfect rating because of its positive aspects. I didn't see a reason to deduct a point. This is due to the fact that the author nonetheless managed to keep the book intriguing. The portrayal was excellent, the suspense was compelling, and it kept me wondering what would happen next. I found no errors in the book because it was exceptionally well edited.
I recommend this book to world leaders since it warns them about several important issues if humans are to continue to live on earth. I also advise readers who like suspense, action, and science fiction to read it.
