The Commander by Dan E. Hendrickson is the final book in this particular series. There were two previous series before this, and I must say, the author was saving the best for last. It had so much action and thrill put into it, and to top it off, the book met my expectations to the fullest. From the interesting book cover to the amazing storyline, you wouldn’t want to miss this. The book introduces us to a well-developed character who stands as the protagonist. His journey is quite amazing. Get a copy of this book because there’s so much to enjoy about it.

Commander Jacob Edwards, regarded as the best operative in the field under Captain Tommy Williams of Naval Intelligence, was once a Lieutenant Commander who built his way to the top through his impressive doings on the battlefield. For three years, Jacob and his best friend, Chuck Yeager, were commissioned into the Coast Guard for top-secret operations. Jacob and Chuck are both recruits under Captain Williams. He is the head of Naval Intelligence, and he has a special academy for military students. Jacob, with his stunning performance and skill, is the best student of the SEAL academy, and after certain achievements, Commander Williams made sure that he got the promotion in rank that he deserved. With time, a terrorist attack that is targeted at the oil industry of the United States is being carried out, and from the look of things, it’s going to be really difficult to handle. Would the special agent and his team be able to fight crime and bring the terrorists to justice? Get a copy to satisfy your curiosity.

First of all, I’d like to say what a good job Dan E. Hendrickson did with this book. Normally I’m not a fan of action or military novels, but this one just gave me a reason to get more involved. It has every aspect covered; I mean, the characters are well developed, the storyline of this book is brilliant, and the journey of our protagonist is just to peak. At various points, I could picture the whole thing in my head as I read through the book. I like the respect Commander Jacob Edwards was given for his brilliant performance on the field and the good friendship he has with his best friend. I believe nothing beats teamwork.

Aside from the profane words used in this book, I don’t think there’s any other factor that I found unpleasant about this book. The author did a really nice job with this book.

I rate The Commander 5 out of 5 stars. It’s just the book I needed to get interested in reading action-based novels. The author's writing style is brilliant, and not to forget his amazing grammatical skills as well. The storyline of this book met my expectations, and I’m so glad I was able to get the most out of it.

I recommend this book to patriots; the way the soldiers fought for the sake of their country is quite amazing. I likewise recommend this book to people who like action- or combat-based novels. This book has just what you need.
