Review of E M P Honeymoon
Dorothy May Mercer authored the book E M P Honeymoon: Kelly & Tom. The plot progressed from a romantic one to an investigative one. Senator McBride, an elder brother to Kelly, was excited to see his sister get married to the love of her life, Tom Turbulo. After Kelly, an expert in analyzing computers, and Tom, a police sergeant, both got hitched for life, they decided to spend their honeymoon period on the island. Excited as they were to begin the exploration of their new journey of love together on the Caribbean island, Kelly was smart enough to decode the plot of some insurgents to generate an electromagnetic pulse primarily to heavily attack North America. In order not to allow tragedy to strike, she quickly reached out to Senator McBride and gave him the details of her findings. The investigation to stop the insurgents from striking began. Read this book to find out whether the senator, Tom, Cynthia Patterson, Kelly, and other characters in this story were able to counter the attack that was targeted at the North Americans.
I admired Kelly and Tom's strength and love for their country, considering that they both preferred to focus on working hard to secure North America over the pleasurable moments they were having on the island. Furthermore, the case wouldn't have been taken seriously if Kelly hadn't informed the senator and her husband, Tom, of her discovery. Hence, I commend Kelly's bravery. Indeed, I was intrigued by it. Going further, I learned from this story that a task can be better accomplished with excellent results if individuals work together as a team rather than independently. This is because they would all use their unique strengths to handle the task. As regards the case of the insurgents' attack plan, all the private investigators in this book were given different tasks to handle based on their strengths, and this made unraveling the truth of the matter a lot easier. As a lover of nature, I was fascinated by the description of the Caribbean island. Kelly and Tom must have chosen to go there to get away from their worries and the pressures of life.
The major strength of the United States, which is that its military force has the most equipped investigators, soldiers, and military facilities, was shared with the reader, and for this reason, I commend the United States government for setting the pace for other nations to follow. In addition, this book made me more informed about the consequences of nuclear weapons. No wonder Kelly and the rest put in so much work to prevent the insurgents from attacking North America.
I disliked no part of this book. It was edited professionally, taking into consideration that the errors I found were minor ones. The plot was captivating because of how action-filled it was. Parents need to be valued. Kelly valued the mothers in her life, and this was evident in how she took care of them. Because of these stated reasons, I rate this book five out of five stars.
The people that would enjoy this book very well are audacious readers of investigative books, action and suspense thriller lovers, military officers, and ardent fans of books that incorporate romance scenes. I, therefore, recommend this book to them.
