Review of E M P Honeymoon
Kelly and Tom Turbulo's honeymoon takes an unexpected turn when Kelly stumbles upon a dangerous terrorist group during their resort island getaway. Fearing for her safety, Kelly reaches out to her brother, Senator Mike McBride, who, in turn, seeks help from his friend at the CIA, Assistant Director Joseph Rench. As the investigation progresses, it becomes clear that the terrorists are planning a catastrophic attack on North America, and the newlyweds are determined to do something to prevent the plot from coming to fruition. Are they able to stop the attack?
E M P Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer is a gripping addition to the McBride series, featuring a cast of ordinary people who uncover a sinister terrorist conspiracy. Despite being on their honeymoon, Kelly and Tom use their unique skills to assist in the investigation, adding to the intensity and fast-paced nature of the narrative. The author expertly weaves together a story that keeps readers on the edge of their seats, with each chapter ending on a cliffhanger.
One of the book's standout features is the author's ability to make the repercussions of a nuclear attack feel very real and terrifying. The inclusion of new languages and the way the characters are treated add to the book's appeal, making it feel more realistic and relatable. The couple's inability to continue their honeymoon and their subsequent involvement in saving the country add depth and complexity to the plot. This captivating plot is filled with suspense, action, and mystery.
I particularly enjoyed the return of characters from past stories, such as Cynthia and Sky, who helped bring down the terrorist group. The book is exceptionally well-edited, containing no errors, and the author's creativity and unique approach to the thriller genre set it apart from other novels. The book tackles contemporary issues such as terrorism and the negative effects of technology, making it both timely and relevant.
Overall, I highly recommend this book to readers who enjoy thrillers and action-packed novels. With its insightful commentary and enthralling plot, this book is a must-read for fans of the McBride series and anyone looking for a thrilling and thought-provoking story. I rate this book five out of five stars because of its exceptional storyline and engaging characters.
